The name
Durendal was the legendary sword of the paladin Roland — said in song to be the sharpest ever forged, and the most enduring. Roland struck it against stone to break it before he died. The stone gave way. The blade did not.
It is the kind of object — and the kind of company — we aim to build.
How we work
We operate without the constraints of an outside fund. There are no limited partners to placate, no quarterly mark-to-market, no fixed hold periods. Our capital is permanent, our horizon is generational, and our incentives are aligned with the founders and operators we back.
